[ Crap. He wasn't expecting Jason to get that distracted just from hearing his name - it's a tiny thing, a second's worth of distraction, but the result is less than ideal, and Tim feels bad about it. But worse, it feeds into his confusion - why would Jason flinch at hearing his own name? Something's going on here, he can feel it, but he doesn't have time to concentrate on it, doesn't have the energy to waste.
He's aware of the plants shifting, raising flags of alarm at the distant edges of his mind, but his focus is mainly on the relentless attackers. At least, until Jason grabs his hand. Part of him wants to pull back - can't trust Jason, not even when he's apparently saving him, be careful, that's the wrong way - but a larger part of him wants to follow. Jason seems to have been here a while, he knows the terrain, and maybe it's a better idea to run and hide out until the mass of thuggish plant zombies have lost interest and they can sneak out. Clearly, that's the plan, right?
So he lets Jason pull him along, deeper into the overgrown bowels of the complex. This seems safe. ]
